The milling equipment widely used in concentrators are Raymond mills and rod mills. In the Raymond mill, only the lattice type and the overflow type are currently used.

The structure of various types of sub-type Raymond mills is basically the same. The cylinder of the Raymond mill is rolled and welded with steel plates with a thickness of about 18 to 36 millimeters. It is welded at both ends with flanges made of cast steel and the liner is equipped with a liner. It is made of manganese steel, chrome steel, wear-resistant cast iron or rubber, among which high manganese steel is widely used, and the use of rubber is still in the trial production stage. The thickness of the lining plate is about 50 ~ 130 mm, and there is a gap of 10 ~ 14 mm between the shell and the shell. Plywood, asbestos pads, or plastic poles or rubber pads are used to reduce the impact of the steel ball on the simplified Chinese.

The overflow type RAYMOND MILL FOR spontaneously overflows because its ore discharge is caused by the ore paddle itself being higher than the lower edge of the hollow shaft, without the need to install a heavy grid plate. In addition, in order to prevent the small balls and coarse-grained ore blocks in the Raymond mill from being discharged together with the pulp, the inner surface of the hollow journal bushing is inlaid with anti-helical blades.

At present, there are only two types of rod mills used in concentrators: overflow type and open type. The former is more commonly used, and the latter has been discontinued. The structure of a rod mill is approximately the same as that of an overflow Raymond mill. The grinding medium used is an oblong rod.
