Work hardness
The harder the workpiece material, the softer the cutting piece should be selected to make the blunt abrasive particles fall off quickly, so that the aluminum abrasive cutting disc often keeps sharp abrasive particles working, avoiding the workpiece being burnt due to excessive grinding temperature. The softer the workpiece material, the hardness of the cutting piece should be selected to be harder, so that the abrasive particles fall off more slowly, so as to fully exert the cutting action of the abrasive grains.
2. Processing contact surface
When the contact surface of the cutting piece and the workpiece is large, the soft cutting piece should be selected to make the abrasive particles fall off faster, so as to avoid surface burn caused by the grinding debris blocking the surface of the cutting piece. In the case of internal grinding and face grinding, the hardness of the 14 inches cutting disc should be lower than that of the externally ground cutting piece. When grinding thin-walled parts and workpieces with poor thermal conductivity, the hardness of the cutting piece should also be selected lower.
3. Fine grinding and forming grinding
For fine grinding and forming grinding, a harder cutting piece should be used to maintain the necessary shape accuracy of the cutting piece.
4. Cutting piece size
The larger the particle size of the cutting piece, the lower the hardness should be selected to prevent the surface of the cutting piece from being blocked by the grinding debris.
5. Workpieces
For grinding soft materials such as non-ferrous metals, rubber, and resins, softer cutting blades should be used to prevent the surface of the cutting piece from being clogged with abrasive debris.
6. Under the same grinding conditions
Cutting the sheet with the resin binder is 1~2 less than the hardness of the ceramic bond cutting sheet;
7. When the cutting piece rotates at a high speed
The hardness of the cutting piece can be softly 1~2 small;
In the grinding process, the hardness of the commonly used cutting sheets is K to N. When cutting steel ingots and castings, Q cutting sheets can be used. When grinding stones and hard materials, it is suitable to use softer ones. The softer cutting piece has better "self-sharpness", which improves the grinding performance of the cutting disc for stainless steel and reduces the grinding force and grinding heat. K-L is commonly used. When grinding hard materials, the abrasive particles are easily passivated, soft cutting sheets should be used to make the cutting sheets sharp; when the soft materials are ground, the cutting sheets are not easy to passivate, hard cutting sheets should be used to avoid premature wear loss of the abrasive grains; When cutting a particularly soft and tough material, the cutting piece is easily clogged and a softer cutting piece can be used.
