Types of refractory bricks
(1) Standard refractory bricks.
Usually, the straight bricks with dimensions of 230mmx114mmx65mm are called standard bricks.
(2) Common type refractory bricks.
The external dimension ratio (the ratio of the smallest to the largest dimension, the same below) is within the range of 1:4, without concave corners, holes, or grooves, and the unit weight is 2-8kg for clay bricks, 2-6kg for siliceous bricks, High-alumina bricks of 2-10kg and magnesia or magnesia-alumina bricks of 4-10kg are called ordinary bricks.
(3) Special-shaped refractory bricks.
1) Sticky, high-alumina special-shaped bricks.
Where the ratio of external dimensions is within the range of 1:6, and there are no more than 2 concave corners (including arc-shaped concave corners), or one acute angle ranging from 50° to 75°, or no more than 4 Grooves, clay bricks with a weight of 2-15kg and high-alumina bricks with a weight of 2-18kg are called special-shaped bricks.
2) Silica special-shaped bricks.
Where the ratio of external dimensions is within the range of 1:5, there is no more than one concave angle, or one acute angle of 50°~75°, or no more than two grooves, and their weight is 2~12kg Silica bricks are all called silicon special-shaped bricks.
3) Magnesia or magnesia-aluminum special-shaped bricks. All bricks that are not included in this series of ordinary bricks are classified as special-shaped bricks.
(4) Special refractory bricks.
1) Dry soil, high alumina special type brick.
Where the ratio of external dimensions is within the range of 1:8, there are no more than 4 return angles (including arc-shaped concave corners) or one acute angle of 50°~30°, or no more than 8 grooves, or with no more than one hole, clay bricks with a weight of 1.5-30kg and high-alumina bricks with a weight of 1.5-35kg are called special-shaped bricks.
2) Silica special type brick.
Where the ratio of external dimensions is within the range of 1:6, it has no more than 4 return angles (including arc-shaped return angles), has an acute angle of 50° to 30°, or has 4 grooves, or Silica bricks with no more than one hole and a weight of 1.5 to 25kg are called special bricks.
3) Magnesia special type brick.
Where the ratio of dimensions to dimensions is within the range of 1:8, there are no more than 4 return angles (including arc-shaped concave corners), one acute angle ranging from 30° to 50°; or no more than three Perforated bricks or magnesia bricks with no more than 4 grooves and a single weight of 3 to 35kg are called special bricks.
