Refractory products with alumina content greater than 90% and corundum as the main crystal phase. High normal temperature compressive strength (up to 340MPa). High softening onset temperature under load (greater than 1700°C). Good chemical stability, strong resistance to acidic or alkaline slag, metal and glass liquid. The thermal shock stability is related to its microstructure. The erosion resistance of dense products is good, but the thermal shock stability is poor.
It is divided into sintered corundum bricks and fused corundum bricks. It can be made by using sintered alumina and fused corundum as raw materials respectively, or with bauxite clinker with high Al2O3/SiO2 ratio and sintered alumina. Unfired corundum bricks can also be made with phosphoric acid or other binders. Mainly used in iron-making blast furnaces and blast furnace hot blast furnaces, steel-making outside refining furnaces, sliding water heaters, glass melting furnaces and petrochemical industrial furnaces.
White corundum fire bricks have the characteristics of high refractoriness, good thermal shock stability, high temperature strength, excellent corrosion resistance, strong slag resistance, small expansion coefficient, low creep, and anti-spalling, etc., and are suitable for various atmospheric conditions. High-quality high-purity corundum bricks are widely used in high-temperature sintering of zirconia ceramics, fluorescent materials, electronic ceramics, magnetic materials, ceramic powders, gasifiers in petrochemical industry, two-stage reformer for synthetic ammonia, carbon black reaction Furnace and glass industry high temperature furnace and other equipment. The dimensions, physical and chemical indicators and service life of the products have reached or exceeded the level of similar products at home and abroad.
